Privacy policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Education Edit publishes editorial content about education, schools and the people within them, at education-edit.com. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors and readers, why, and what choices you have.

Information we collect

Contact details you give us directly: your name and email address when you sign up for our newsletter, get in touch, write for us, or enquire about advertising. Where relevant, we may also ask for your phone number and the subject of your enquiry.

Usage information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and time spent on the site, collected through Google Analytics. See "Cookies and analytics" below.

How we use it

To send the newsletter and respond to enquiries you have sent us.

To understand which stories and sections readers find useful, so we can plan future issues.

To keep the site secure and working properly.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, roughly where from and on what kind of device. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can decline these cookies via the banner shown on your first visit, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings at any time. Declining them does not affect your ability to read the site.

Who we share information with

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Newsletter sign-ups and enquiry forms are handled directly through our website platform, Webflow, and are only used for the purpose you submitted them for.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and newsletter details for as long as needed to respond to you or keep you subscribed, and delete them if you ask us to or when you unsubscribe.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email info@education-edit.com.

Children

Education Edit is written for parents, teachers and school staff, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and we ask that under-13s do not sign up to the newsletter or forms without a parent or guardian's involvement.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will always show when it was last revised.
